Privacy
Short version: your booger lives on your device. An account, if an account owner makes one, keeps only what it needs to look after the boogers.
Playing, with no account
Your boogers, their diaries, their Gems and things, and the Hall of Fame are saved in your browser's storage on this device. Playing never sends them anywhere. Clearing your browser data erases them, so use Save to a file in the menu if you want a backup.
What an account keeps
An account is for the account owner, who is 18 or older. Children don't have accounts and never sign in. If you make one, it keeps:
- Two numbers that stand for you, one from the sign-in service and one from this site, so it knows it's you next time.
- When the account was made, when it was last used, when you last signed in, and that you said you are 18 or older and agreed to the Terms.
- Each device you pair: a name you can change (like "Device 2"), when it was paired and last seen, and a scrambled copy of its device key.
- For each booger on a paired device: its Gems, the looks and decor it owns, and a record of each change to them (how many Gems, when, and from what: a bout, the Playground, a gift, the shop), so they are safe and the same on each of your devices. With them, its stage (baby, kid, teen or grown-up) and the number its look hatched from.
A booger's name stays on your devices. The account doesn't keep it.
What Lil Boogers doesn't keep
Your email address, your name, your home address, card details, your IP address, or anything anyone types into the game.
Who else is involved
- Signing in is done by Microsoft (Microsoft Entra External ID), on Microsoft's own pages, and by Google too if you choose Google. Microsoft keeps your sign-in account for Lil Boogers (your email address, and with Google the name Google gives it) and its own records of each sign-in. When you sign in, it shows your email address to the account page, so you can see which one you're using; Lil Boogers' own records don't keep it. There is no password, so Lil Boogers never has one.
- The account's data is kept by Microsoft Azure, in the United States, for Lil Boogers and no one else.
Nothing from other sites
The game page makes no request to any other site: no font service, no analytics, no ads. Only the account page links to the sign-in pages. There are no tracking cookies. Signing in uses the site's own sign-in cookies, which end when you sign out or after some hours. A paired device keeps its device key in the browser's storage, so it can keep each booger's Gems safe; it can do nothing else.
How long it's kept
If nobody signs in to an account and none of its devices syncs for 24 months, the account and everything it keeps are deleted. A device that hasn't been seen for a year is unpaired. If you sign in but don't make an account, the site keeps only the numbers that stand for you and when you signed in, and deletes them after 30 days.
Your choices
- You can unpair a device on the account page at any time. Its boogers stay on it.
- To get a copy of everything your account keeps, or to have the account deleted, ask us (below). The boogers on your devices stay on them either way.
Move links and save files
A move link carries your booger inside the link itself, after the #, which browsers don't send to servers. Anyone you give the link to can load that booger, so share it with care. Save files stay wherever you put them.
